Our Care Philosophy
We Care. We Value.
Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care in the Philippines
In recent years more and more organizations and institutions in the Philippines are established and are exploring new models of care homes for Filipino seniors. While we at RainTree Care truly believe that one of the most important things in caring for seniors is compassion, we feel that it needs more than that to provide dedicated and high-quality care at all times.
To care for Dementia and Alzheimer’s patients can be challenging not only for the families but also for professional nurses and caregivers. Since the Geriatric care sector is very new in the Philippines and long-term care knowledge is limited, we decided to combine Filipino values and compassion with German expertise and excellence to equip our staff with the right knowledge and tools.
Some of the most famous care models designed by care experts have their origin in Germany. The history of aged care dates back to the 1960s and is respected worldwide. Germany is also the only country that trains certified geriatric nurses through a vocational course with more than 3,500 hours of exposure to geriatric care making them one of the best in the world.
Nursing Home Care Philosophy
Seniors, especially those with Dementia and Alzheimer’s, need a very specific care plan than those who are simply sick or have a broken bone.
Our entire team, trained by Geriatric Care Expert and Nursing Director Cornelia Daubenbuechel, provides professional long-term care to all our residents.
We focus on a holistic approach that includes regular physical activities at our pool, social and fun interactions, and a wide variety of mental stimulations. Our beautiful residence feels like a home, and our regularly implemented schedule of activities helps build a feel-good environment that our residents enjoy.
Our care plans are based on scientific approaches from Germany and are customized for each resident’s unique needs and wants. Our care documentation is based on German standards and eases communication with other healthcare institutions and providers.
For us, it is important to maintain the character of a family residence because this gives us the ability to make any adjustments immediately if the needs of our residents change.
Our care philosophy, combined with the services of our very well-trained nurses and caregivers, the expertise and guidance of our Director of Nursing, and our in-house Geriatrician Dra. Zamuco helps us achieve amazing results for our residents and their families.
