Michael Hernandez Deakin
Michael Hernandez Deakin is the Managing Director Lifeline Ambulance Rescue, Inc. & Lifeline EMS Academy, Inc. He is a Filipino – Australian, born and raised in the Philippines. Migrated to Australia at 16 years old and completed his education in Canberra (ACT). Spent the first 10 years of his career in hospitality management. Working his way up the ranks in some of the top resorts and hotels in Australia. He came back to the Philippines and continued to manage resorts and country clubs in Pampanga and Metro Manila.
In 2000, he was recruited to join Lifeline and applied a simple rule of Service first! Money later! He build Lifeline to the biggest private ambulance provider covering 3.2 million Filipinos under the Emergency Quick Response membership program. He has participated in several technical working committees of the Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Tourism (DOT) and was one of the original incorporators of the Philippine Retirement Incorporated (PRI).
In 2013 Michael was awarded the “MVP Bossing Ako” Award for Philippines Entrepreneurial Excellence.
Marc graduated BA in International Business Management from the Cologne Business School. He worked for 4 years with the Sozial Betriebe Köln, an operator of nursing homes and home care services in Germany and has in depth experience in running restaurants, hotels, spa and wellness institutions.
From 2009 to 2016 he acted as the Executive Director of the Retirement & Healthcare Coalition, a project of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
Since 2015 is an independent healthcare consultant for various companies interested to get involved in the Philippine geriatric market and for Philippine institutions that would like to learn more about geriatric care and education in Germany.
Director of Nursing
Cornelia Daubenbuechel is the Director of Nursing of Raintree Care Services & Senior Residences. She graduated BS in Nursing in Unna, Germany in 1979. Cornelia became a professor for nursing in 1985 with the German Red Cross. She has extensive working experience through her work in various hospitals and nursing homes for more than 12 years. After which she started a career as geriatric professor with more than 20 years of experience in the German Red Cross and the Deutschordens Fachseminar.
Cornelia also practices since 1997 as homeopathic practitioner as she believes that the patients should be treated in a holistic approach. She is the current Dean of the Johanniter Geriatric Academy in Troisdorf, Germany and is a German certified Quality Management Representative for process oriented quality management in healthcare organizations.
Jesicca holds a degree in Human Resource Development from the San Pedro College of Business Administration. Jesicca started as Executive Assistant at Raintree Care and due to her excellent work and commitment was promoted as Assistant Manager within a few month.
Prior to her work with Raintree Care, Jesicca collected extensive experience in customer relationship, administrative work as well as accounting and human resource activities in different companies and positions. Jesicca has furthermore knowledge in Quality Management Systems and recruitment processes.
Jesicca handles all tasks with passion at Raintree and loves to interact with our residents in her spare time.
Nica graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2010 from the University of Perpetual Help System- DALTA. For two years, she worked as a nursing aide in a private hospital where she first experience handling geriatric bed-bound patients.
Nica worked as priavte nurse in Bahrain and was assigned to a royal family to provide geriatric care. She found herself with a passion for Geriatrics.
Nica works since 2017 for RainTree where she pursues her passion geriatric care. Living the values she has developed and applying the lessons she gained from her experiences to provide genuine care to the Residents.
Jasmine Anabelle V. Plaza earned her degree in BS Nursing in Western Mindanao State University. Jasmine also studied National Vocational Qualification Course Level III in Health and Social Care (Adults) in Golders Green College, London, United Kingdom and Bachelor of Science in Health and Social Care Practice at The University of Winchester, Hampshire, United Kingdom.
Jasmine had the opportunity to go to the United Kingdom to study and at the same time work as a healthcare assistant for nearly four years dealing mostly with vulnerable elderly individuals in care homes.
National Certificate II in Caregiving, Acute Brain Attack, End of Life Care, and Dementia Awareness were among the seminars and training Jasmine attended. Jasmine finds joy in helping other people. She enjoys reading, singing and cooking. She loves travelling and learning international cultures too.
Nena took up AB Psychology at Remedios Trinidad Romualdes Memorial School (Makati Medical Center) for a year and shifted to BS nursing at De Ocampo Memorial College where she graduated in 1991 and took the Nursing board exams the same year.
She worked for 6 years as a Clinic Manager and atteneded trainings and seminars about stress management and handling depressions in all ages.
She’s been a private duty nurse for almost nine years, handling different cases like Alzheimers, Diabetes, Brain Aneurysm, Pulmonary Emphysema, Bedbound patients with Contraptions and believes that she’s been in this kind of work for the longest time because she got the passion caring for the elders.
Jeyks first choice was to work as a Vetenarian as he loves animals. He took up Veterinary Medicine but switched soon to nursing. He got his BS in Nursing from the Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines in 2006.
After finishing his degree Jeyk worked for almost 2 years as volunteer nurse before he started working as a Medical Representative with Zoemed for 3 years. His next assigment as Quality Control Inspector brought him to Taiwan before he returned back to his home country.
Jeyk works since 2017 as a Staff Nurse in RainTree. He believes that working as a gerontological nurse in a seniors residence comes with manu perosnal growth opportunities.
Janice Legaspi Zamuco, M.D.
Dr. Janice Legaspi Zamuco is our dedicated Geriatrician, a practicing Physician since 2003. She specializes in the care of senior patients and looks after the medical wellbeing of our residents.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude in B.S. Psychology from the University of the Philippines Diliman and received her Medical Degree from the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital. She then did her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Missouri, Columbia USA and did a Geriatric Fellowship at the same institution.
Currently she is affiliated with the Makati Medical Center, Asian Hospital and Medical Center, University of Perpetual Help Las Pinas, Healthway Medical Alabang Town Center and Lifeline Clinic in Ayala Alabang and Alabang Hills.
Ma. Elena Lourdes R. Tan, M.D.
Dr. Ma. Elena Lourdes R. Tan is our Rehabilitation Medicine specialist and concentrates on the overall function of the residents.
She graduated B.S. Physical Therapy from the De La Salle Health Sciences Institute in Dasmarinas, Cavite in 2003 and received her Medical Degree from the same institution in 2007. She then did her residency in Rehabilitation Medicine at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center from 2010-2013. She took her fellowship in Neurorehabilitation at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore in 2015.
She is currently affiliated with the De La Salle University Medical Center.
Diane is the In-house Chef of RainTree Care. She is from the province of Marinduque and worked as a Chef of a German-owned Beach Resort. She loves to cook International and Local Cuisines and has spent many years perfecting her culinary techniques.
She is certified by TESDA Marinduque for Food and Beverage Technology and certified by FOODSHAP for Basic Food Safety and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles and practice.
Emily Jerusalem has been with RainTree since its beginning. She ensures the cleanliness and orderliness of our facility with compassion.
She is our good soul in the house, remembers where everything has been placed and looks after our little Raintree Zoo. Our dogs Max and Joey and our cats Kangaroo and KC.
Head Physical Therapist
Joel Gaffud is a graduate of bachelor of science in physical therapy at Emilio Aguinaldo College and passed the board of examination in physical therapy in 1995. He worked as Staff Physical Therapist at Veterans Memorial Medical Center from 1997-2007 and as Supervisor of the Physical Therapy Section from 2007-2013. He is the Head Physical Therapist of Raintree since 2016.
Joel is a certified, Kinesio tape trainer. Modalities handled include ES/TENS, Ultrasound, UVR/IRR, Traction (cervical & lumbar), water therapy (whirlpool, Hubbard tank), taping (sprain taping, kinesiotape), Cases he handled include Geriatric Rehabilitation (Stroke, Parkinson dse, Dementia, Diabetes, Arthroplasty (hip/knee), Arthritis (Rheumatiod, Osteoarthritis, Gouty), Ckd (undergoing dialysis), Amputation, Laryngectomee
